C Drive is becoming full automatically!

A few days ago I setup Windows 7, Because the problem was C drive is becoming full and after new setup still now I face this problem. I did not face this type of problem before. My C Drive space is 48 GB. and now free space is 20 GB and its decreasing... Alwasy I use CCleaner, and there are no other file/folder in C Drive without installed file. Requesting to expert, Please give me a solution for me.

Hi

If you install windows 7 then connect to Internet sp1 will be installed and a backup of windows and program files folder is made
Then all the hundreds of updates since w 7 so 1 was released are installed

Restore points occur daily
Deleted files go into recycle bin

Disk cleanup will help but 48 GB is rather small unless you have other partitions and hard drives

I am using Windows 7 for last 3 years and from then my C Drive is 48 GB and its first time I face this problem and always I turned off windows auto update because of I using limited internet package.
Is it that my PC attacked by any virus and this is the cause for decreasing C Drive space? Please give me a solution for recovering C Drive space without new windows setup/increasing the C partition space/auto update. I will be grateful.

programs like space sniffer and windirstat will analyse your hard disk and make it clear which files & folder are using a lot of space

Hi

I forgot to mention space taken up by the page file, hibernation file (same size as amount of ram)
hybernation can be disabled so file space can be recovered.

You need a page file but it need not be on boot partition [C:]
