Question C drive not responding

Last night had a power outage and this morning computer would not boot. I entered troubleshooting and command promp and could see drive and also could see SSD partition. I could see directories and files

I ran chkdsk /r and chkdsk /f when asked to lock I said ok

now disk is no longer visible but shows up fine in bios.

What specifically asked you to "lock"?

Good news. The c: drive is showing up again after I set the bios to treat the drive as a IDE drive. Drive is still not bootable but at least I can backup my data.
After I backup my data what’s the best approach for repairing the boot. This was a free upgrade to 11 download so I don’t have the original dvd.

and use it to create a Installer on USB

Clean install might be fastest way to fix.
