Umm, as the title says! I don't think its a virus(I'm completely sure), but is there any way to know what files are going to which folder? I tried to google as many keywords as possible but I don't seem to find one. Is that even a thing ?

I had about 50gigs free space and suddenly it dropped to 43gigs, I was just wondering what happened, I didn't update or download anything.

Thank you!

Hi there Frag,

Your system may be creating restore points. You can adjust your System Restore settings and reduce the HDD space allocated for that. Also, you can delete some previous restore points.

Can you give information about your system specs.
And why are you certain it is not a virus?

You could have had windows update download several fixes, if you use windows backup that could have created more files, then there is all the system cache and other folders.
Did you recently enable hibernation or adjust virtual memory?

LOL! It's definitely the restoration points! I set the usage to 70%, and now my memory is over 60 gigs now. Thank you so much D_Know_WD and all the ones you contributed.
