C: drive space is decreasing for no reason

Solution
This is almost certainly a combination of System Restore points and temp files.

Find your System Restore settings, and see what that is set to.
Control Panel
System
System Protection
System Protection
Click on the relevant drive, and select Configure

It will show you current usage and Max use %

Temp files, driver related crap, malware...could be any number of reasons. Use disk cleanup, CCleaner to help remove junk files and do virus and malware scans.

Check page file size and make sure you can see hidden files.

You'll need to be a little more specific. If you only have the one hard drive, the space on the c drive will be taken up by a number of things, temporary internet files, system restore points, anything like that.
If its a big change in a short amount of time, then it could be that you are getting some corrupt or damaged sectors of the hard drive.
But, let us know exactly what you have going on, and your systems specs, operating system, and things like that, and we can do a much better job of trouble shooting
