[SOLVED] C drive suddenly full

Hi everyone,

I had 7 gb free on C Drive. I decided to expand it since I wanted to get windows 10 so I used EaseUS Partition master to add 20gb from other driver. The space was added but now C shows 2gb available only. Tried running disk cleanup to no avail

Install and run either WinDirStat, or WizTree.

Run as Administrator, selecting only the drive in question.

So much wrong with that setup.

6 main partitions on a 500GB drive. No need for that...just complicates things.
62GB devoted to the Windows partition. Too small.
Pagefile and hibernation file taking up 1/3 of that 62GB C partition.

Yeah, this is a total mess; why are you partitioning your hard drive in such a fashion? All you're doing is drastically increasing your micromanagement with no actual benefit.

thanks for taking the time to answer guys. I disabled hibernation and started to merge other drivers and will add some space to C before installing win10

You need to get rid of all of those ridiculous partitions - completely reformat as a single Partition. I have a 1TB SSD - 1 partition, 4x8TB - each 1 partition.

Not "add some space".
One single partition on that 500GB drive.

And before you start down this path..please have a known good backup of any data you don't want to lose.
