[SOLVED] C missing in restore, explorer windows opening on their own

Having an issue with multiple file explorer windows opening on their own.
I close them and a few minutes later they open again.

Tried to do a system restore, C drive missing

Did a tape restore of the C hard drive from a month ago, same problem ????/

Fixed the restore by deleting the missing c drive, then a good c drive came up.

Still having an issue with file explorer windows opening, usually 2 or 3 of them.

Try a clean boot and see if it changes anything - make sure to read instructions and make sure NOT to disable any microsoft services or windows won't load right - https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

if clean boot fixes it, it shows its likely a startup program. You should, over a number of startups. restart the programs you stopped to isolate the one that is to blame.
