C++ Runtime Error

Hello everyone,
I am trying to play Fallout New Vegas and i get this runtime error this has never happened to me or any of my friends and i have looked everywhere trying to find the answer to this error. If you know what the problem and/or fix could you please help me out.

I have windows 8
