I have been trying to find out where my hard drive is being used up because if i look at all the files its should not be full.
I downloaded Wiztreeand had it scan my hard drive and it came up with this
https://postimg.org/image/w8jqhhkzh/

And with System Recovery expanded (Repair is the only file in there)

How do i clean this out so that i can get most of my hard drive back for use.

Also I do not have System Restore on

Running a Alienware 15 laptop almost two years old at this point.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as i have been looking for a solution to this for more than a month off and on and no other form post i have found appears to have the same issue

Hi there Wereone,

Have you deleted all the previous restore points? I believe you will need to do so.
Also, you can reduce the space allocated for that.

Here's a tutorial on that: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/5482/make-system-restore-use-less-space-in-windows-7/
For Win 10, the steps should be similar to that.

Cheers,

Unlike a solution like Comodo Time Machine or RollBack Rx; Windows System Restore doesn't automatically determine the amount of space to use or have tools to manage the space, and can fill up a hard drive if you let it.

Reducing the allocated space and deleting restore points will help. Also, the aforementioned other programs might be more for you, especially with both being freeware.

@ D_Know_WD - I have selected the delete option on the System Protection window, I have set the max ussage to 1% as well have having it set to disabled. It doesn't change anything.
I have used the Disk Cleanup app and clicked the “Clean up system files” option and then clicked the "Clean Up" button for the System Restore and Shadow Copies option. It did not change anything
@LukeFatwalker - Those programs would have been nice before this point but if I save a restore point now it will not fix my problem
