C2D, Can It Fit?

For a core 2 duo to fit does it have to support that family, such as the Conroe or does it just need socket 775??

for a c2d, the board has to be a socket 775, but it also has to support the FSB for the chip... what board is in question?

It has to be socket 775, and the chipset has to support C2D.
