C2Q Q9550 Water cooling or fan?

Hi. I have a Core 2 Quad Q9550 currently @ stock clocks because i have an oem fan. i want to get a nice cooler so that i can oc (to about 3.5 - 3.8, or even higher if possible) play gta iv well. I am considering 2 coolers: the Cooler Master V8 ($70 CAD), and the Corsair Hydro H50 CPU water cooler ($80 CAD). which one would be a better choice. and how far would i be able to oc with it? also, wat is an ok temp for a q9550? thanks

the h50 isn't that great. performs the same as a decent air cooler. but no better.

thank you but would i be able to reach 3.8 ghz with that v8 cooler?

you should be okay. obviously, every chip is different. but if you cant reach that clockspeed with that cooler, it wont be the cooler holding you back.
