I'm looking to buy a 144hz or a 240hz monitor, but there's one thing that still bugs me. What cable do I need to have to get the 144hz or 240hz in a monitor? DVI, Displayport (what version of displayport), or HDMI? I need a cable that will surely support both 144hz and 240hz.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Dual-Link DVI, HDMI 1.4, and DisplayPort 1.1 can be used up to 1080p 144 Hz. (Though some HDMI 1.4 displays are limited to 60 Hz over HDMI)
DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 2.0 can be used up to 240 Hz. However not all 240 Hz support HDMI 2.0.

Basically, just use DisplayPort.
