Question Cable directions matter?

As long as the cables go with their respective pins, does it really matter which direction (if we take where the labeled side is "upward") smaller case cables like positive/negative Power LED, or Power Switch face?

What are you connecting?

If polarity ("direction") matters then most systems and products use connectors to ensure that only the correct polarity is is physically possible.

Would the side of the cable with the text "Power SW QS" go upwards when connecting it to the 2 pins? (My board is vertically upright)

So far I've connected the 2 pin HD LED cable in the direction it was supposed to go (+ on the lower 1st pin, and - on the lower 2nd pin).

And gone ahead and done the same for the Power LED cables

I'm just missing the Power Switch cable now but I'm not sure if I should connect it in a certain way (out of curiosity, does GND mean ground and if so, do I connect any negative ends of a two pin cable there?)

Power and reset doesn't matter as all the button does is bridge the two pins to do it's function, like using a screw driver to short the pins but with button instead.

Other led lit functions youd follow the diagram connecting pins to the correct sides of the wire. It doesn't matter if print is top or under for bridging connectors albeit if corresponding pins orientate the connector and print a certain way for other pins following a polarity +/- then orientate print the same way for everything else for consistency.

Question - Does the orientation of the power/reset switch in the front panel connecors?

I'm pretty sure that the power switch and reset switch can be one way, or rotated 180 degrees that way, i.e. polarity doesn't matter, but I just wanted to check, because this Bitwit video confused by as it implies there is polarity of the switch. View: https://youtu.be/IhX0fOUYd8Q?t=2011...
