Cable internet work well directly on lan but have downloading issue when connected through wireless router

I have cable internet connected directly on lan and there is no any issue but when I connected through Linksys Router then everything is ok except downloading issue from server. When do I download directly through lan then my speed becomes 7 MB/s but when I connected the Cable with Router then my speed became 200-300KB/s. I have 1Mbps Internet connection, Its a cable net

1 Mbps internet connection is quite slow. Is that DSL? Run Speedtest.net and see what speeds you are getting on that.

Also, try rebooting both the modem and router.

Actually this is cable internet and its give me server address so I can download stuff directly from its server with high speed because of cable networking (Lan) but internet bandwidth is 1Mbps.
There is no any problem when I connected the Lan cable directly on my PC, I can download stuff with high speed from its server.
Problem is that I want to connect it with wireless router and when did I connect through wireless then internet is work well but I can't download stuff efficiently from its server.
I think I am unable to explain my question, think this way if I have 10 PC and one server connected through lan but I want to connect these with wireless router without losing data transfer speed.
I hope if you understand my point please tell me

I would try another router. These things get old and used, and tend not to last more than a few years in my experience. A newer router should be able to sustain the speeds better also.

Look for something 802.11ac.

Good luck with it. The times my router has "died" in the past, it had this type of erratic behavior, and was in denial for longer than I should have thinking that the router was only a few years old. It became obvious when I upgraded that when the router is not working, basically nothing else really works right. Easy fix in the end.
