I have a Corsair iCUE 7000X case and installed 11 fans--7 Noctua NF-P14s redux and 4 Noctua NF-P12 redux. I got the Phanteks Halos Lux Digital for each, it look nice imo but later found out it is a nightmare cable managing it when daisy-chained. Are there any tips/recommendations to make this easier? Any improvements I can try?
With cable management, you can either have it easy or good looking. Can't have both.
Easy way is to just connect the cables, without little, if any, cable management effort. This leaves ratsnest behind and isn't nice to look at, but it is easy.
Good way is doing proper cable management, by trying to route and hide all the cables. This takes loads of time and planning.
With experience in cable management, it is a bit easier, but with each different build, it still takes planning and time to execute it.
E.g the neat looking cable management in my main build;
It took me easy 4h to complete it. Loved every moment of it.
Tips wise: if you have excess slack of fan wire and have enough slack, you can coil it around the fan frame. Like i did with the fans on my CPU cooler.
Ok, thanks. I gotta wait for my CableMod PSU cabbles to come in to redo the wiring. Till then, I'll plan. Your set-up is giving me flashbacks of my old set-up before I got the 7000X, pretty similar.
