I have an EVGA 850 BQ power supply and I wanted some custom UV sleeves for it but have no idea if Cable Mod sleeves are UV reactive and on the plus side I have no idea what series it is and what is compatible. However, I may consider getting a different power supply to match it up. I am unsure what I need and I was told a GOLD PSU is way better and solid than the Bronze ones.

Here are my specs.
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K overclocked to 4.4ghz auto voltage.
Case: NZXT H700i
Motherboard: Sabertooth z77 Ivy Bridge
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060-6GB SSC version from Best Buy.
SSD: Samsung 830 256GB (2012)
HDD: WD Black 1TB (2012)
HDD: Seagate FireCuda 1TB (2016)(Recent purchase at Micro Center)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 C9 4x4GB (bought in 2013)
MBD: Asus SABERTOOTH Z77 Motherboard (2013) 7 years old now.
PSU: EVGA 850 BQ Power Supply
Monitor: BENQ 1920X1080p 4ms (2014)
Operating System: Windows 10 64bit.

These are power supplies I am considering. I was told that my PSU is too strong for just one GPU however one person said my PSU is just fine and the gold ones are just higher rating and cleaner power. I want clean 12 volts for my video card. I just hope it won't hurt my processor.

I do plan to upgrade to 8th generation soon so what is a good plan?

Its not horrible its just not the best for the available options.

Its a meh unit overall. Some good some bad but for the price it wasn't the best option.

And if you plan to swap to a new PSU of the two you listed I would go Seasonic however the EVGA Supernova is a great choice as well as they use a very good OEM and good build.

Just look at the cons difference between the PSU you have the the Supernova 750W G2.
Well the issue isn't Bronze vs Gold. That is the efficiency rating, i.e. Bronze > silver > gold > platinum > titanium. They gold will be more efficient than the bronze.

The issue I see is that unit is a low end one made by a pretty bad OEM.

Both listed are good ones , I would personally go with Seasonic as the are one of the best OEMs out there.
