cable not connected

When I switch on my computer a message comes up on my monitor 'no signal" also the keyboard and mouse have stopped working, I have tried another vga cable and comes up that "cable not connected", and also the keyboard and mouse is not working..what is the problem of this, can you give a simple solution.. thanks

Full system specs, is this a new build or an old one that has stopped working? Have you made any changes to the system that may have contributed to the issue?

your power supply may have died try a test unit. you may have to clear the cmos with the new power supply to post.
