Hello community,

I ll try to be quick.I want to make my own cables for my 850watt HXi Corsair psu.

Does anyone know what awg wire should i use for my new wires?
As i know the choice is between 18awg and 16awg.
Factory cables are marked as 18awg as i can see but i wanted to ask if anyone know something about it!

Thanks.

p.s Sorry if i am in the wrong posting section.

Solution
18awg but Corsair already sell custom cables in several colours to suit the HXi 850.http://www.corsair.com/en-au/power-supply-units/psu-accessories?accseries=AX,%20AXi,%20CSM,%20CXM,%20HX,%20HXi,%20RM,%20TXM|
After buying the tools and bits it does add up, ok if it's for more than one mod job

18 awg is the one they all seem to use and the plugs that crimp on are made to fit 18awg
