Cable tie substitute?

Hi I recently bought an Antec Earthwatts 380d Green. I don't have any cable ties on me, so I was wondering if twist ties with a metal wire would work fine, or rubber bands.

I use twist ties all the time in all my rigs, i prefer them over zip ties as they are easier to reuse.
I know its obvious, but just make sure the metal wire isn't going to be touching anything that can create a short circuit.
