Need solution..we are adsl2+ modem suppliers.. Currently there are too many isps who have started providing internet through cable modem, since cable modem technology is very old, I want to know if using a coaxial to Ethernet converter the output will be rj45 , that rj45 if we use it as input in wan port, will we be able to get internet connection.

Solution
I believe the ISPs are converting to COAX since it allows faster speeds then a single phoneline.

If I am not mistaken, even the old DOCSIS2.0 modems are capable of higher download and upload speeds than ADSL2+ modems on a single line.

What kind of device were you thinking of using?

You cannot just have a box to change the physical connection from COAX to Ethernet RJ45. The signals sent over COAX are completely different from those of Ethernet over copper (RJ45). You need a modem to translate the signals between COAX and Ethernet over copper. Cable modems have been around a while but I think they will be around a lot longer. COAX cable provides a lot of bandwidth compared to phone line cable usually used for ADSL. In fact the newest standards allow for 10Gbit/s download, 1Gbit/s upload over coax using a DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem. Because of the existing COAX infrastructure, I think it will be the dominate way most people will get high speed internet to their house for the foreseeable future. Fiber is making some inroads but it is a long way from being deployed on the scale that COAX is already.
