[SOLVED] Cables for an RTX 5080 ?

okay, I'm feeling super stupid right now, looking for the cable to plug in my brand spanking new RTX 5080.

Here's my corsair PSU:

Here's the cable I bought from amazon that I thought would work:

Looks like the ends need to be Type5 not PCIe but I can't seem to find that cable (3 Type5 ends)?

Did a quick search to see if there is an adapter for PCIe to Type5 = here

I feel like I'm missing something really obvious... super tired right now and not seeing it...

The problem with PSU cables is they they are NOT standardized at the PSU end.
Get it wrong, and you release the magic smoke.

From Corsair site, closest I could find is type4 to 12VHPWR = here

This could be it = here , but its labelled at PSU and not type5 or PCIe and both ends look so similar, just a little different in size

how do I verify that I have it right?

Is there a tutorial or guide or something... or should I use my multimeter, but that still wouldn't tell my the right pins coming from the PSU... but it would tell me if the wires are crossing within the cable...

You tell by using a cable specifically built to be compatible with your PSU. The PSU will not warn you of anything...until it is too late.

Just a note, unless you know the pin-out of connectors, you can't visually verify compatibility.

Not according to Corsair. The original cable has two connectors on the PSU end. As does the cable linked above.

that's actually a bit confusing, as here is a cable that shipped with the RTX 5080,

which I also dont have cables for and could work if I could find type5 to type5 cables...
