Is it overkill to add a L-2 32Mb cache to a motherboard that already has L-2 16MB cache with 16MB of standard 1066Mhz 1.5 volt Memory? Dell 435MT, Also, Has anyone heard of running looping HHD's at tandem that is...instead of an SSD. I've heard this described before in a conversation, but I don't really remember everything about that convo. I've done 2 OS upgrades, so the amount of Storage space needed is obscene.

WOW..... I'd love to add 8Gigs of L-2 cache...... but sadly I don't even think you can get anywhere close to adding or removing it, since it's on-die....
And I think there's an article about looping Hard Disc Drives in Tandem.... but we call it RAID

SSD's have been in RAID only since their launch, 'HDD's have been in Tandem/RAID :) for donkeys years.... so, yes, we have 'heard' about them.
