CAD Display (mildly color blind)

Hi Everyone!

Need some help with monitor selection. I am currently working on three Dell "U2717D" in office A and in office B I am working on three ViewSonic VA2446m-LED. I am doing CAD work for construction management. The Dell monitors are great and I can see everything but the ViewSonics are completely washed out making it almost impossible to see for my eyes.

My question: I am looking for new monitors, what should I be looking for since I am experiencing this issue? I looked at the specification differences and really do not understand what I am looking at. Also, the same computer is being used on office A and B.

I think the biggest difference between those two is the panel type. The dells are IPS panels, which will give you better color and contrast. While the viewsonics are TN panels which are cheaper.

The Dells are also a higher resolution 2560x1440 compared to 1920x1080 on the viewsonics.

When looking for a new monitor I think IPS panels are going to be better for your particular vision.
