Call me crazy but can you sli a gtx 980 and a gtx 970 together both (evga).

My cousin just gave me his gtx 970 and now I want to know if its safe to sli both of them I currently have a gtx 980, I really want to know if its safe to my understanding i believe it is but im asking you toms hardware if its not going to kill my system lol So will they both be able to sli good with eachother?

they won't go SLI, only same model cards can, like 980 with 980 or 970 with 970.

you cannot SLI the two
an SLI is only possible with the same cards
i.e. GTX 970 with another 970 and 980 with another 980 etc. etc.
