Microsoft will take one of its few best-sellers and put it on Xbox Game Pass right from the start, giving a potential "discount" of $60 to subscribers. Perhaps the bean counters are seeing long-term dollar signs over short-term sales.

I do have an Xbox and a few games I like playing on it but I actually just cancelled my game pass subscription. If you add it up that’s 204 dollars per year. I know I’ll want to buy the new college football game that’s coming out in a month or two but when you think about it and the fact they usually have sales similar to Steam, I think that’s how I’m going to pick games up unless there’s a new one I want. Which the college football game will be the first of it’s kind in 10 years and was one of my favorites.

I can see why they want more subscribers but when you look at the yearly cost it’s worth asking especially if you only play a few games if you’d save money.

any "live service" game should NEVER be paid for subscription wise as its a massive waste of $ long term.
