This is my current system:

Windows XP 32bit Pro. (Dx9.C)
CiT 1008 Midi-ATX case
CiT 500w (27A on 2 rails)
Palit GeForce GTS450 1GB
AMD 'Regor' (240)
OCZ 2GB DDR2 800MHz (1 stick)
Biostar TA770E

How well do you think my computer will run Black Ops, when I do the system requirements lab it says I need at least at least a Phenom 8750 which is lesser than the AthlonII 240 I know. But how well do you think this build will run the game?

Thanks,
Nathan.

Not really well, dual core power, it will even bottleneck the gts 450. Normally a core 2 duo or better , 4 gb ram and a fine gpu[you have the gpu] is needed to run most new games.

What resolution are you playing on? That's a HUGE factor...

Just going off the specs you listed though, I'd say you'll probably get an average of 15-25 FPS on medium/medium-low settings (with no AA/AF). The 800MHz DDR2 RAM is what's hurting you the most, imo. Yeah, your CPU is a little behind, but your card will make up for a lot of that. Your RAM though, you can't really get around it and RAM performance is extremely essential when considering gaming...

No to steal this thread, I figured it was a good place seeing as i have FPS issues with this game. I have an X2 250 @3.6 Ghz 4GB ddr2 1200OC and a radeon 4830 all of which are above the requirements for this game and i cant play this game smoothly even on the lowest res with everything off. But somehow I can play COD MW2 on 1920X1080 with all features and AA maxed at 60FPS +, Does this make any sense?

They can't be compared, totally different graphics engine configs..
Black ops is really heavy compared to Mw2- I say its normal for your fps drops..

ignore them about the gpu fact, with black ops becasue it is a console port and dosnt really use the graphics card at all and is mostly done by the cpu

people with quadcores have had lag in htis game so there is not a lot you can do about it

this is an example of a great game with very poor coding
