Call of Duty - Black Ops :: Random FPS Lags (285GTX)

Hey guys,

I'm fed up with this now, my fps is perfectly fine (doesnt matter about settings being low, high etc always the same issue).

When im playing and it comes to SOME firefights i get a 1 second lag which normally means i die without being able to shoot back lol which is frustrating...

I don't understand why this happens info on my rig is in my sig, i run MOH 2010 on maxed out settings smooth as silk yet i cant run this pos flawlessly.

Settings im using atm in game are:
1920x1080 (24" monitor)
Textures: Normal
Filtering: Billion
So not high demand at all.

Ways i've tried to fix this:
Removal and update of all drivers.
Removal of config_mp.cfg
Changing on a few commands in command line, e.g. /r multigpu 0 /r multithreading 1

Anyone know why this is happening or if this is happening to you?

There have been several documented complaints about Black Ops' performance on the PC, especially random lag when connected to the online servers. To my knowledge, there is nothing you can do besides wait for a patch.

awh ok makes me feel a little better though knowing its not just me, my mates is fine though hes got an ati though

I think Black Ops runs smooth on quadcores. I have a q8400 6gb GTS250 1gb and hits 60fps average.

Did you patch [update 1 ] ?

Yeah everything is update all drivers - it doesnt matter what setting i have it on i get the same issue so it must be an error on their behalf theres a few videos on youtube showing it (at work atm though )

Also heard a rumour that the new patch it out this weekend sorting it... *crosses fingers* anyone seen this officially?
