Question Call of Duty: Cold War FPS and Upgrade Path

I'm playing Call of Duty Cold War on High settings (1080p) and seeing FPS in the range of 50 - 70. This drops to about 30 if I enable HDR on my monitor. Does this sound about right?

If this is as expected, looking for an upgrade path (perhaps CPU and mboard?) to improve this.

Current setup:
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: RTX 2060
RAM: 2 x 8GB DDR4-3600
MoBo: Asus Prime B350-Plus
Monitor: LG Ultragear 27GL63T
PSU: 750 watt gold

Hardware Settings:
GPU: Clock +147. Mem Clock +900. G-sync enabled
CPU: No overclock

As an aside, I see GPU temp go up to about 79 degrees. I have a decent case and plenty of fans / ventilation. I believe this is normal for this card. I don't see the GPU blocking for temp.

Any advice appreciated.

this doesn't sound right i play on a R5 1600x and a 1070 and always getting around 90-100fps with no drops on high settings, do you have ray tracing enabled?

Sorry for lack of reply. Between posting and getting suggestions I did some upgrades anyway.

Yes - Ray tracing was enabled.

I wasn't seeing any bottlenecking from CPU in afterburner, but having changed mobo to X570 and CPU to Ryzen 9 3900x, I got an increase in fps.

Changing the GPU to an RTX 3080 further improved the situation!

Having done some more research, it looks like having HDR enabled can cause a 10 - 20 fps drop.
