Solution
I doubt CoD Ghosts needs those requirements. I have a 5770 and I will bet you a million dollars I can run it maxed out. I'm sure you all know CoD Ghosts basically looks the same, same engine and such. So I wouldnt be worried if you bought a $100 GPU to play it. I played BO2 maxed out on the 5770 at 30fps fine, Ghosts will be no different. I could be wrong but I highly doubt it an I'm not gonna pay $60 dollars on a repetetive game
Minimum System Requirements

OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ / AMD Phenom X3 8750 2.4 GHZ or better
RAM: 6 GB RAM
HDD: 40 GB HD space
Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 / ATI Radeon HD 5870 or better
Sound: DirectX Compatible Sound Card
DirectX: 11
Internet: Broadband Internet connection and Steam and Online Multiplayer

Recommended System Requirements

OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 – 680 @ 3.6GHz
RAM: 8 GB RAM
HDD : 40 GB HD space
Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 @ 4GB
Sound: DirectX compatible sound card
DirectX: DirectX 11
Internet: Broadband connection and service required for Multiplayer Connectivity. Internet connection required for activation.

hi im going to be uying a new gpu tonight man it is a SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5450 1GB 64-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready
Low Profile Ready Video Card ( 100292DDR3L)
can this run on my pc if buy this gpu ? it is a 220w ...and can i run cod ghosts with tis?

read above. no. 5870 MIN to run. 5450 won't do it.

You can't play new games with old hardware, period. There is a reason there is $800 video cards out there. To play new games. lol.

theres where your wrong ...with the built in gpu i have i was able to play sktrim ... bf3 ... sr4 ... and many more on low settings even bo2 ..so apparently you dont know anything ... just becuase infinity ward says you need this gpu bla bla bla it dont mean i cant run the game on minium settings ... so dont place all your knowledge on can you run it or anything ... im here to ask people with same problems

I have a 5770 and it Ghost doesn't support this Card for some reason

Is this a troll thread? The gpu's you are aiming to get aren't even meant to be gaming GPU's. COD ghosts is a new game. You can't expect it to run fine on a very old card which even was low-end back in the time it was considerd a new card.

CoD Ghost may be a new game doesn't mean hardware intensive its new. that 8GB requirement is BS, Ghosts will probably use 4GB at most. Theres nothing new about Ghosts except for its content

Here's my 2 cents, it wown't work. The ram requirement is a lie yes. but the gpu is the heart and working center of a gaming rig. If it's a bad gpu it wown't play games well. MAYBE in a real low resolution else good luck running it.
And not to be a douche but battlefield 4 runs smoother than call of duty ghosts on similair systems.

dude i got dual 5770 1 gig ati cards and i have a very hard time running ghost all settings on low and its very choppy unable to play i was very good t bo2 but am lucky to get 2 kills a round with my cards so i doubt a 5800 seris will even run this game the way it needs to

Hey I have 5770 overclocked it at 930Mhz and even though the frames are pretty good on medium the game has a lot of shaders-lag issues(not only on multiplayer) +Fraps is showing ~60 fps.

I am sure you don't need those requirements to play it, just look at bo2, with my 550ti I sometimes get 250-300 FPS on max settings lol. All CoD games are extremely optimized, that's why you can get crazy FPS using a decent GPU and ghosts on min settings maybe you run it on an average of 35 FPS not sure, but I'm sure you'll be able to run it if you run bf3 on 30+ FPS on min settings

there's my proof. btw to the author of this question, I hope you found your answer

im running

64-bit windows 7
Gibabyte Geforce 760 2GB DDR5
8 GB ram oc 1600hz
3.52 oc intel i7
H80 corsair liquid cooler
asus P7P55D EVO mobo
2 x 1TB HDD

I try to run call of duty ghosts at maximum and i get micro stuttering, stuttering, v tearing and crashing. apparently the game was designed to run at higher FPS rates despite vsync locks as i often see this. not to mention the sound clipping during cinematic scenes which is only solved by using windowed no boarder mode.

i see it calls for 4GB gpu is this really needed and to top that all off even playing a new game like batman i might have only dropped 5 FPS at worst, with this game i drop to almost 35. but even with all this there is no reason for v tearing and crashes. i've had minimal crashes with batman origin and i feel its a steam issue on that so can any one tell me if they are able to play this useless game flawlessly yet or if more hard ware and better monitor is needed?

Me and son both running the game well on our rigs, campaign and multi. Mine is Phenom II 940 clocked @ 3.6, HD7770 1gb and 8gb ram.
Son's is Phenom quad 9850 @ 2.7, GTX 460 780mb and he's only got 4 gig of ram, using the ram tweak that bypasses the system check.

His settings are pretty much the same as mine, most on high or normal, no lows. Both run fine.

Looking at Task Manager when the games running both rigs only ever use 2.5gb max of memory so the 6gb min req is total crap.

My advice, there's no need spending a heap of cash on your gfx card, although I wouldn't use one lower than the 460 or 7770 specs. And 4gb ram runs fine if you use the work around. No sign of a steam ban yet using it either

a 4GB GPU? wow CoD really is desperate to look good.

You don't need a 4GB GPU to play CoD:Ghosts. A 760 will do you just fine.

Your problems sounds like you don't have enough power on the PSU.

Try playing another game, does this happen aswell?

Bro i suggest you to not buy geforce 210 gpu because it will not run cod.
I self having geforce 210@1GB but still it is not running(stop responding screen occurs everytime when i try to start the game).
