Hello,

I've got an issue where my FPS gets locked to 90 ONLY on certain gamemodes in Call Of Duty MWII.
- If I open Raids, Cooperative, Warzone, it gets capped to 90.
- Multiplayer gamemodes, Cutscenes, Main Menu of MP etc gets up to 141 (my own cap as I am on 144 Hz)
- The second I switch to Warzone, it goes back to being capped at 90!

Things I've tried:
- Turn Vsync off in nvidia.
- Turn Vsync off in game profile in nvidia control panel.
- Turn Vsync off in Nvidia Gameprofile Inspector.
- Turn Vsync off in-game settings.
- Disable Full Screen Optimization.
- Verify integrity of game files.
- Tried running the game in Full Screen, Full Screen Exclusive, Fullscreen Borderless.
- Enable/Disable Gsync
- Turn ON/OFF Hardw-accelerated GPU scheduling
- Turn ON/OFF Variable Refresh Rate in Windows Graphics Settings.
- All drivers up to-date + Reinstall nvidia drivers.
- Enable/Disable FPS limit in-game. (Doesnt matter if it's limited to 144 or unlimited, it stays capped to 90)
- Delete & reinstall shader cache files.

Note that if I play Multiplayer, I do NOT have this issue! the second I switch to any other gamemode in the menu, it gets capped!
Example, in every gamemode you can go to "firing range" to test your guns. If I do that in multiplayer, I get 141 FPS. If I do it in another gamemode, I get 90 FPS. Same map, same everything!

Upon research, I am not sure if this is an issue with the game specifically or something else. As I've seen others have the same exact issue in other games (League of Legends, Final Fantasy etc) by looking it up online.

Specs:
- CPU: i7-10700
- GPU: RTX 3070
- Game installed on a decent SSD.
Power, Temps, usage etc all seems normal & GPU is more than capable to push beyond 90, as it only gets locked to 90 on those gamemodes.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Note that it was even locked to 60FPS on one of those gamemodes, but upon doing many of those stuff above, i made it go up to 90! (not sure which one of the methods really)

Update:
After a lot of testing, reinstalling both the game + Nvidia drivers.
Even resetting all settings on both game + Nvidia, the issue is still there, which makes me think it must be something from Windows itself as I have no other program interfering with the game such as antivirus, overlay stuff etc.

So I'm trying to figure out how to solve it from Windows itself now

Same issue im capped at 60 but all modes are ok except warzone
I just saw you PM'd me asking about this too, honestly I've tried even bigger list than what I listed here.
Ultimately I realized it's forced by the game itself, why and how no idea.. tried to see if i can un-force it through config files but nothing helped.
Funny enough is sometimes they do an update where it gets uncapped, or uncapped a bit higher.. and sometimes it goes back to where it is.

It's annoying even in Firing Range because you'd be practicing at half of your FPS and not the usual one you'd want.

Is yours being capped even in-online matches and online Warzone while playing? or just main menu?

not capped in the menu - 60-87fps on mw2 screen but in game and loading screen since updates on mw2 and mw3 integrated ive had a cap on warzone 60fps but in the other new menu screen fps works fine my
loading screen used to be 120-220
and games 80to160 fps from multiplayer to warzone some updates like this keep messing fps up i guess

make sure you didnt accidentally set a FPS cap in settings. do note that warzone is more resourceful than MP and itll tank frames regardless.
since ive seen you try everything, this is most likely a game issue; and “COD HQ” (mw2/3/warzone 2) always had bad optimization. i gave up after 73hrs on “The Next Gen of COD”.
