hi all... just installed my first firewire card ,, hooked the dv camcorder
up to it...

now all i need is software to play , any suggestions??

I guess you are talking about streaming video / webcam.. If so... Windows
Media Encoder all the way!

yeah thanks for that noel......

now i need software that will work the zoom and record and play and all
those controls remoteley...from the software

any takers?

panasonic nv ds35

i tried some canon software just for testing purposes but wouldnt work.....

If the cam does not come with some type of software control, then
you would probably have to build yourself some type of hardware
interface for the cam that is software controlled.

Try DVdriver. It was made for this - it is software to control
camcorders. The zoom works with the Canon ZR series camcorders and
some Panasonic camcorders. Download the free trial to see if it works
with your camcorder.

Wow.. I'm impressed! it worked in one go with my Sony DCR-PC10E MiniDV cam!

I did not have a look at all the settings (yet), but I guess that it's
possible to add the "control panel" to a website!

Ok.. found the remote "Dashboard", but I'm not sure if I like it, as it's
working as a server (an other port open on my server)

well i tried the dv cam driver and it worked well.....

recommended ton everyone with a firewire card and a dv cam..
