Came home and CPU usage 100%, all games lagging extremely bad, faulty cpu?

I've had it for around 4-5 years, i5 4670k, think it finally faulted out?

Temps were going from 50c to 84c up and down.

Nothing big in the background, checked services just the usual stuff. Did a clean restart and almost immediately went up to 100% usage again.

What is i using 100% of the CPU? Open TASK MANAGER and check the CPU processes and check what is using your CPU. Sounds like possible Malware.
