Camera with hdmi to pc?

I bought a hdmi connecting to my cam and my pc. How can i record/see the camera on my pc?

In order to record, you'd need to capture the video. The HDMI on pc/graphics card is an output port, not input.

Most action camera connect to a PC via USB not HDMI. The HDMI is for connecting it to a device like a TV that has an HDMI input.

That uses USB to connect to a computer. Just connect it to the pc with a usb cable(one is usually included) it will show up as a drive open it and you can copy the videos and/or pictures to the PC.

So buy a webcam. That would be cheaper than buying a capture card.
