Hi,

This is more of me just pondering a thought:

Obviously we all know that it is possible for malicious software to be installed without the user's consent which can provide remote control and access to a webcam.

Is this still possible if the webcam has been deactivated in device manager?

Well, if you're running windows....yeah.

Is this still possible if the webcam has been deactivated in device manager?
If somebody has THAT level of access to your system, do you actually believe that you have exclusive control of the system settings?
Physically disconnect the webcam, if this of concern.
