Can´t send or receive Windows Mail. Message "Error 518". Possible wrong name for service provider?

Solution
Check your mail account settings in Windows Mail, in particular the incoming (POP3) and outgoing (SMTP) server names.

You can get all the correct settings, including the server names, from your email service provider. If they have a customer support area on their website, the information on how to set up your email account in Windows Mail should be on there.

Failing that, give them a call and be ready with pen & paper to write down the settings if they are able to give them to you. The biggest problem with telephone support is getting through to the right department and being held in a queue, so looking on their website for the info you need is the best option.
