Ok, so that PSU only has 6+2 connectors:

1 x 20+4-Pin Motherboard cable
1 x 4+4-Pin, works as either 4 or 8-Pin CPU power Cable
2 x 6+2-Pin PCIe
4 x 4-Pin peripheral
6 x SATA cable
1 x Floppy power

So it certainly should 'fit'. Can you elaborate on where you're struggling? Or better yet, post a pic?

The connectors are keyed, and will only fit one way. The 6+2 aspect can be a little fiddly sometimes, but shouldn't be particularly difficult.

sadly i cant post a picture cause my phone camera doesn't work. the cord im using has a 8 Pin on one end and on the other end 2 6+2 pins. I plug both of the 6+2s into my card but the 8 pin on the other end wont fit into the psu.

Are you sure this is the cable that came with the PSU?

The PSU has both 6-pin and 8-pin connections on it. 6-pin is for the Molex and SATA cable and the 8-pin is for the EPS12V and PCIe cables. That said: If you're trying to use a cable from a Thermaltake, EVGA, etc. it may not fit and shouldn't be used because the pinout may be different.

The cable im using says evga, and vga on it. its the one my brother said he used

You cannot use an EVGA cable on this power supply. You have to use the Corsair one. Power supply cords are not standardized on the side that plugs into the power supply.

You should count your lucky stars you couldn't get the side that goes into the PSU to fit. If it had, you might not have a PSU or a GPU right now.

Corsair ought to be helpful. Aftermarket cables are nice, but you usually see those for the higher-end Corsair PSUs and truth be told, they can be rather expensive compared to the price of your PSU. Just ask Corsair customer support about acquiring a replacement PCIE cable for your modular CX 650 power supply. It probably won't be free, unfortunately, since this is a case of a hand-me-down PSU with a possibly careless first owner rather than a cord simply missing from the package.

Well.. There's your problem. EVGA cables are for EVGA power supplies.

Your PSU should have come with the correct cables. Did you lose them?
