This is my first time building and I’m trying to know what I’m doing wrong or something I need to fix. The key to enter BIOS is the DEL key but it never works, neither does any other option that it displays. I’ve tried resetting CMOS, replacing the motherboard battery, and even switched the motherboard out with the same brand but different model. ( Asus M5A78L-M LX Plus to Asus M4A88T-M/USB3). Both Motherboards gave me same result. I haven’t tried a different keyboard yet only because I don’t know if it is my keyboard that’s not detecting. It is a new keyboard after all. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Edit: I have tried a different keyboard and now it says 2 keyboard devices in usb, even though only 1 is plugged in. Once I remove a keyboard (so no keyboard is plugged in) it doesn’t detect a keyboard. Although the keyboard is working because I can CTRL+ALT+DEL to reset.

FIX: My Front Panel USB connectors weren’t connect to my motherboard properly which caused the problem.

Solution
Yes, first make sure the keyboard is functioning. Try a friend's if nothing else. Check the light on the KB and make sure it is active. And don't forget to rapid-tap the DEL key throughout the POST up until you see Win loading.

But the warning message may be a clue. Something USB is not safe to run. What have you got plugged into USB ports?

Solution
I have been rapidly pressing the Deletw key but it seems unresponsive. I’ll have to go find another keyboard to use, and the only usb Devices I have plugged in are my keyboard and mouse.
