I recently upgraded, now I’m running an i7 6700k and RTX 2070 Super along with a new Nixeus 1440p 144hz monitor and I’m very happy with the performance I’ve been getting

My issue is I can’t find a good 2nd monitor without problems that I can use for watching Netflix etc. I’ve returned 3 monitors so far due to issues like major ghosting, mount issues and all sorts of bad.

In a 2nd monitor I’m looking for a 27” one that’s for content consumption during gaming with good image quality. 1080p is fine but 1440p would be nice, open to advice!

Thanks in advance I’ve been going crazy with this thinking it’d be easy to pick up a cheap monitor to be my 2nd..

1x - replaced this one once and am currently using it for now until I get a better one, ips pref (using dp port for this one currently)

I bought new dp and hdmi cables for affected monitors and issues persisted

Update your post to include full hardware specs and OS. Include PSU.

Makes and models of the second monitor(s) that failed 3 times?

Did you install the applicable monitor drivers?

What video ports are you using between computer and each of the two monitors?

Did you try swapping in known working video cables for second monitor?

Have you tried switching the monitors' positions to determine if the problem follows the monitor or stays with the video connection.

Results of monitor position swap? I.e., each monitor works well as primary (by itself) but the problem occurs with respect to the second monitor being added. No matter which monitor is primary or secondary.

111GB ADATA SP550 (SATA (SSD) - Boot drive? How full?

Does the following link match your GPU?

https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Graphics-Card/GV-N207SAORUS-8GC#kf

If so, which "mode" (HDMI or DP) are you using and which DP/HDMI ports?

Are you plugging the video cables into the applicable/active video ports?

I noticed that for my monitors right now, both are 144hz but occasionally the 2nd gets locked at 60 randomly it seems and in turn locks my main to 60 if I tab out to it mid game.

19GB left on the boot drive

GPU: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TV9CLL5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and yes plugging in video cables into applicable ports, I don't think its anything on my end imo was probably bad qc, I can for sure get a nice 2nd monitor but I don't want to shell out another 500 usd I'm trying to find something affordable ~250 usd range

I have been using a LG 27" 4k monitor, LG27MU58 which appears to be the same as this one:
https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16824025406
Runs nicely at 60hz with a displayport connection.

More 4k content is coming, you might want to be prepared for it.

Nice yeah I'd totally be down for that especially if it works well and has decent color quality. Also I noticed that if I watch anything 1080p on my 1440p monitor fullscreen it appears noticebly blurry, youtube usually np but twitch usually caps out at 1080p. You notice anything like that with your 4k one? Also thanks for the link bookmarked it

The 4k content I see is from a computer game, namely civ2.42.
A quick look at a youtube video looks ok to me.
This monitor is connected via DP to a GTX1050ti.
Perfect actually, I have a DP cable routed to my 2nd monitor atm, cable manged and removing it wouldn't be impossible but pretty annoying so not bad, I'll think about getting that 4k one for netflix and anything 4k I watch.
