[SOLVED] Can’t get internet even after using a Ethernet

So I just got done building me pc. No error codes or anything like that. I went ahead and downloaded windows 10. When I plugged my Ethernet cable in, it wouldn’t connect to the internet and when I tried troubleshooting it told me “windows could not find a driver for your network adapter”. I went into my device manager and there were files under “other devices” that wouldn’t work. (Ethernet Controller, PCI Device, PCI Device, PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller, SM Bus Controller, and Unknown Device)

What is the full system specs of that system? Windows 10 should use the default drivers for Ethernet.

The most common cause of this is people forget to install the motherboard drivers that come with the machine. You need this basic package of drivers before you can even attempt to install other drivers.

Go to Motherboard web site and get drivers for all your hardware- Chipset, Network, sound, etc..... (If you don't have disk that comes with MB)

You need to download your motherboard drivers. These are for the chipset which will affect anything connected to the PCIe and USB etc.....

Obviously, you'll need to use another computer to download it.
