I stupidly decided to go into safe mode when my account isn’t linked to my Microsoft account and I do not know my password. This is my main computer, I can’t lose any of the files I have on it. Is there a way to fix this? I need an urgent fix!

how did you go into safe mode? did you change msconfig settings?

Do you have an installer USB?
  1. Select Repair your computer at INSTALL screen
  2. Select Troubleshoot
  3. Select Advanced Options
  4. Select Command Prompt
Enter: bcdedit /deletevalue {default} safeboot
If that gives an error, use...
bcdedit /deletevalue {current} safeboot

that sets windows to default boot options. Normal login.

you should really work out what your password is, or link the local account to your MSA so in future (as of Win 10 2004) you could use a pin instead in safe mode, if you have that set.

The command prompt thing worked, thanks!
