[SOLVED] Can’t Ping a NIC on the Same Subnet?

Hey guys,

Imagine 3 network devices (all VMs) connected in a line (router, a network emulator, and a router). I cannot ping the other router from either router. But when I’ve logged into the network emulator, I can ping either router. To my knowledge, the network emulator has been properly configured, so I’m not sure why it seems to be “blocking” the ping from either router when not logged into it.

What does the route table on the emulator say? That would be my first place to look.
Like maybe the emulator has wrong routes. So the routers on each end can ping to it, but the emulator has no route to return the pings.

Each router will also need to respond to pings, and they will not if not set to do so.
