Hello everyone.
I have an ASUS vivobook flip 14 tp470EA. I’ve opened up the back and found the ssd, but can’t unscrew it for the life of me. I have on tiny flathead that fits into the screw but it will not budge. I’ve tried star, hexagon and Phillips heads and none of those work.
Any advice appreciated

Solution
Try a torx screw bit head, since it looks somewhat stripped. Because Torx heads are flat they tend to find a couple places to grab onto. When you feel it "slip in" push down with moderate force and slowly turn until it moves then unapply pressure and turn slowly until removed.

You can find Torx screw sets at a hardware store like Home Depot or off of amazon. Amazon is your best bet though for a reasonable price.
You're using the wrong sized screwdriver head which is why you're having a hard time taking it off...and in the process you're stripping away the head of the screw as well. Either that or the head of your screwdriver is worn out and not making proper contact with the notches in the screw. What number screw driver are you using?

Solution
Torx is not going to work. You need ultra small size phillips screw driver.

After looking closer, it doesn't appear that enough metal is pushed up anyways. Maybe a SL1.5 flathead would work. That or have the exact phillips to fit it so it doesn't strip it further. Well it all depends on what OP can get their hands on i suppose lol. Though OP already said they tried those so i dunno. Guy above said it could be soldered on, which would be a shame. Well the screw is small enough to where the tip of a knife could feasibly work as well strangely enough XD. That or the super glue trick where you put a tiny bit on the screw and put a phillips on it and wait for it to dry, done that a few times lol.

Thanks for the replies everyone, I took it into a shop and they managed to get it out with a phillips head on one of those pen looking powertools. I attacked it witt everything I had but decided I didn't need my $40 anyways. They also replaced the ssd and downloaded all the drivers etc so not too bad on price i guess
