Can 10666 work in 10600?

I have a question that I seem to be getting mixed answers about. I am wondering if a 1333MHz PC3-10666 RAM Module would work in a motherboard that says it can take 1333MHz PC3-10600 RAM modules? It's all DDR3, if you need to know. People have been saying it does work and it doesn't work. Does anyone have a straightforward answer?

Yes it will, it is just a difference in naming the modules from manufacturers.

Manufacturers do their best to confuse people with tricks like this.

1333.333... x 8 = 10666.666...

Everyone rounds 1333.333... to 1333. But some round 10666.666... to 10666, others round it to 10600.
