Can 1GB ram support Windows 8?

Sort of. It will be very slow, and you'll need to use a 32-bit version.

Frankly, I'd suggest using linux and spending the $100 for Windows on upgrades.

You wont be able to play games .Yoou need atleast 2 gb ram
