Can 2 x EVGA GTX 980 Ti Classified's in SLI be powered by 850 watt PSU?

Average TDP for two 980 Ti's in SLI is 500 watts (2 x 250 = 500). However, the EVGA 980 Ti Classified GPU's have official TDP of 300 watts each. Question: Is an 850 watt, tier 1 PSU enough power for two 980 Ti's plus the rest of my specs (listed in signature) ?

I would go 1000W.

So that you can take advantage of this improved power design, EVGA also went with two 8-pin PCI-E power connections instead of the reference card's one 8-pin and one 6-pin power connections. As a result, instead of being limited to 300 W of power that the GPU can pull from the system, this one can pull 375 W.

Yeah you be fine, though i would still reccomend a higher watt CPU. Especially if you plan to overclock.

I would say at least a thousand watt, 1200 is better, if you're going to overclock everything. I like to have at least at 25% margin for serious overclocking. If the calculators say you'll use 800 then at least a thousand. I bet your system at max load is higher than 800, even at standard clocks. Keep in mind, that number that the calculators say, doesn't include system fans and other extras like leds(I know leds use almost no juice, but it's still something to consider).

I run 2 SC EVGA 980 ti's and a 6700k @4.4 Ghz on a 750w PSU no problem.
