I have dell optiplex 760 mini tower with 305w psu
And i want to install ati hd 7730 1gb ddr5 graphic card .. can my pc and psu handle this card with no power problems ? Cuz i read in that hd 7730 need minimum 400w psu
And thanks in advance

Solution
With the HD7730 in you OptiPlex, the entire system will need at least 350W of power from your unit. You'll be pushing it. On another note, is the card in question a half height card? If not then you'll be running into vertical/width clearance issues.

Thanks for your answer ..
Ati hd 7730 is a short graghic card as i see it not a tall one and i have a minitower not desktop so i think the problem i will face is the psu

Those dell 305w are actually decent and can handle a 75w tdp gpu. I'm not sure why you said a 7730 is pushing it when it's only 47. Most people go with the best gpu without a pcie power cable at the time so you can find many old links with a 6670, 7750, 750ti over the years.

Iam concerned too from the power needed from the pci slot .. i had heard that the slot providing 20w only and i had read that the 7730 need 47w minimum .. dont know is this a problem or iam wrong .. or there is another source that i can know my optiplex 760 pci slot power is .
