Can 600w psu work with Gtx980

I have FX8350, hd7850 graphics card and 600 watt psu im going to do 1440p gaming so im going to buy evga gtx 980 do i need to upgrade my psu

If it's a good quality PSU, it should be OK.

It also depends on the other components. That GPU alone needs about 375watt. With that cpu not oc you are already at 500watts. And you have to power all the other components.
So to answer you question: Yes, It will be enough (If your PSU is a good quality one). Would I recommend it? well, I would go for a 650watt to 700watt one.

No it doesn't. GTX 980 TDP is 165W.

600W PSU is plenty if it's a good one.

Yep, my bad. It is a 165W TDP Gpu. So 600watt will be ok with a good quality psu.
