As the title says, I'm looking into purchasing a UPS on Newegg for my monster rig.

My Computer Components are as follows:
3x 230 mm Fans
5x 140 mm Fans
1x 120 mm Fan

4x 8GB DDR3 RAM
6 Core I7 Sandy Bridge Intel 3800 MHz Turbo CPU LGA 2011
Rampage IV 4 slot PCIE x16 Motherboard
2x NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan X's in SLI
1x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780
1x SATA 10k RPM 1 Terabyte HDD
1x DVD R/W Drive
Standard Peripherals, WebCam, Wireless Headset, Gaming mouse/keyboard, All USB 3.0
1600 WATT PSU

I Used the Wattage calculator located at this URL, to measure the actual Wattage consumed by my RIG:
http://www.coolermaster.com/power-supply-calculator/
Resulted in approx. 1100
I then input this 1100 WATT into this UPS calculator:
http://www.csgnetwork.com/upssizecalc.html

This suggested a UPS Rating of 1540 VA Minimum, and 2000+ VA Recommended.

Any SuperPower UPS above 1500 VA / 1200 WATT requires a NEMA 5-20R Power Outlet, which isn't standard in common households: NEMA 5-15R
Using any converter for the outlet/power cord is unacceptable. It will drastically increase risks of fire and god knows what else.

Therefore the best UPS I could find that still uses the standard NEMA 5-15R Power Cable/Prongs max out at 1500 VA with a range of 1000-1200 WATT maximum. Will this be sufficient to power my RIG?

You can alter the outlet if you feel confident in your electrical skills, not too difficult although you may have to tinker with built in fuses as bit on some...
You can just about power it but not for very long, you'd best switch to power saving mode on your PC when the UPS kicks in!

I don't want to tinker with the wiring. I live in an apartment so I also won't be paying for an electrician.
I don't need the UPS to power my computer, just for a minute or two to power down my rig in the event of a Power Outage.

More commonly used for brownouts though, they occur more frequently.

So yeah you'll be able to use it, just want to say though that you don't need a UPS unless you need to say save an important document. If you're gaming and it gets flicked off at the wall it won't break your pc or anything...
So as I said, you'd be fine with it and if you're not for whatever reason then you can return it!

I wanted to get the opinion of more users before I pick the best answer/close the thread.
The answer is more credible if everyone comes to the same conclusion.

If an electrician gave a few comments, or someone who is more familiar with Wattage, Amperage, volts, ect. then I'd be sold.
