Guise, right now i have 2×4gb 1866mhz g.skill sniper ram ddr3.Looking to upgrade it to 16gb of ram for the upcoming star wars battlefront game.

I saw the g skill ripjaws 1600mhz 2×4gb ram at a sale right now so decided to get it.but will it affect the performance of my pc with two different types of ram?

If the sticks will even play together, it's up to you what they run at. If they play at all when installed they will probably go to the mobos default which could be 1066, 1333 maybe 1600. From there can try enabling XMP or prob better to just manually set to 1600 first, without the model numbers no idea for sure what settings I'd suggest, the RJs at 1600 might have a CL of anywhere from 7-10 at 1600 and they are different Sniper sets also in 1866, let us know the model numbers, CPU and mobo and can answer better
