Can a 2gb ddr3 gt 710 run on 200-230 w psu?

my specs:intenl duo core e7400
nvidia 8500gt
3gb ddr2
250 hdd
2-3 fans in the case
230 w psu

i need to ubgrade my gpu but can i run the 710 2gb ddr3 with my psu?

The GT 710 only draws ~20W to ~25W. Your E7400 draws ~65W (TDP). RAM less than ~5W. HDD about ~10W (but may draw up to ~30W at startup). 2-3 Fans, assuming about 0.3A to 0.4A fans, would be about ~8W to ~10W.

Total estimated draw (excluding other components that may be connected your motherboard) would be around ~100W to ~135W.

So, yeah, with that, a 200W to 230W PSU (provided ample wattage at the +12V rail) can power your GT 710.

Quality-wise of such PSU, of course, is a different matter.

The 710 video card uses less power than the 8500GT you already have so no problems.
