Hey all, I have a Dell T3400 workstation and I was wondering if my psu is able to run it. My specs are as follows

Core 2 quad 2.5 ghz
4GB DDR2 ECC ram
2tb HDD
AMD radeon hd 7570 2gb version
525w 18A PSU (from Dell)

Here are a few links to the identical PSU that I own. From that ive read, the cpu wont be a bottle neck, now I just need to know if my psu is up to the task of actually handling a gtx 750ti.

Solution
Yes, your PSU is strong enough, it just needs the right connector. You would simply need to look at the cables running out of the PSU and try and find a connector that looks like this (yours might be white):

It's enough wattage, but the ASUS GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB GDDR5 also requires a 6-pin PCIe power connector.

I can't tell from the link you provided, but I doubt your current PSU has the required 6-pin. If you want a GTX 750ti but don't want to upgrade the PSU, there are other versions of the 750ti that don't require an additional 6-pin PCIe connector.

If your PSU does have the 6-pin then you're good to go.

How would you check if it had a 6pin connector? BTW it seems my amperage is enough

Sorry for down voting, I'm on phone currently and it was a mistap, but regarding what you told me about the connectors, as I recall I do have those connections but since I don't have access to my pc at the moment I cannot confirm. Tomorrow I will let you know if I have those connectors. Also, thanks for the info. as black Friday rolls around I'll be sure to pick up one of these cards.
